Il grande sassofonista e compositore nacque il 25 agosto 1933 a Newark, New Jersey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c8 stato un protagonista della musica del 900 come pure del nuovo secolo. Ha sperimentato vari passaggi nel jazz, assurgendo a tutti gli effetti tra i suoi migliori rappresentanti in tutto il mondo. Punto di riferimento per il jazz modale, ha collaborato con molti grandi artisti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dal 1959 al 1964 \u00e8 impegnato con i\u00a0<strong>Jazz Messengers<\/strong>\u00a0di Art Blakey. Storico l\u2019ingresso nel\u00a0<strong>Miles Davis Quintet<\/strong>, dal 1964 al 1970. L\u2019anno dopo collabora alla fondazione dei grandi\u00a0<strong>Weather Report.<\/strong>\u00a0Proficua anche la produzione propria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>\u201cSpeak No Evil\u201d<\/em><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSpeak No Evil\u201d \u00e8 il sesto album di Wayne Shorter. Fu pubblicato nel giugno 1966 dalla grande Blue Note Records. Nel disco la musica combina elementi di hard bop e modal jazz, grazie alla partecipazione di musicisti eccellenti come il trombettista Freddie Hubbard, il pianista Herbie Hancock, il bassista Ron Carter e il batterista Elvin Jones. Carter ed Hancock vengono dal quintetto di Miles Davis, di cui fa parte anche Shorter. Indizio probabilmente di per s\u00e9 sufficiente ad anticipare le tantissime qualit\u00e0 tecniche e creative di cui \u00e8 pervaso l\u2019intero disco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSpeak No Evil\u201d \u00e8 uno dei numerosi album registrati da Shorter per Blue Note nel 1964, il suo primo anno come membro del quintetto di Miles Davis. L\u2019album \u00e8 generalmente considerato uno dei migliori di Shorter e anche uno dei cavalli di battaglia del catalogo Blue Note. La Penguin Guide to Jazz ha selezionato questo album come parte della sua \u201cCore Collection\u201d, definendolo \u201cil disco di gran lunga pi\u00f9 soddisfacente di Shorter\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Murray Horwitz ha dichiarato nel 2001 che \u201cSpeak No Evil&#8221; \u00e8 una sorta di consolidamento dell\u2019eccellenza compositiva di Wayne Shorter. \u00c8 cos\u00ec completo, coerente e di ampio respiro. \u00c8 quasi un manifesto per le sue idee.
